Inspired by the stories of bushrangers that once roamed the Boorowa district, the author was intrigued to learn that once released from prison were exiled from Australia. In the course of five years of research; over 130 biographies were comprehensively researched and written in detail. Bushrangers such as Phillips and Frank Gardiner are included along with a variety of criminals deemed no longer fit to remain in the colony.
