Boongaroon

Boongaroon & Yandoo

Our quarterly newsletter Boongaroon refers to the Indigenous name for the headwaters of the Yass River commenced in April 1984 and continues as a bi-annual journal featuring articles reflecting the history of the Yass district and Australian history in general.

We welcome written contributions from members on any aspect of an historical nature especially those pertaining to the Yass district. Contributions can be emailed to boongaroon@yasshistory.org.au The society reserves the right to edit articles submitted for uniformity of style.

The society exchanges journal with approximately thirty New South Wales local and family history organisations.

Copies are mailed to members in April and October however extra copies are available for $6.00 per copy or $5.00 per copy if purchasing multiple copies.
Members can also elect to have the journal sent as a pdf.

Yandoo is our monthly newsletter designed to keep members informed of the latest business of the Society as well as news of events, trips, museum, and archives news as well as museum posters. The newsletter is emailed directly to members.
