We live in a digital age but we must not lose sight of the past and the value history contributes to our communities. In an ever changing world the pursuit and recording of history is also changing but will museums, archives, historical and family history groups of today survive the pressures of such rapid change and declining memberships? During the weekend our speakers will address this and other aspects of keeping history alive and within the public gaze.
We have been fortunate to have assembled a great line up of speakers who have much to offer - their collective expertise is phenomenal! Our keynote speaker is Dr Mathew Trinca, Director of the National Museum of Australia. He and Dr Carol Liston, President of the Royal Australian Historical Society, together with speakers from diverse backgrounds and disciplines will give thought provoking presentations sure to fire the imaginations of anyone with an interest in history. Participants are especially encouraged to join in the Sunday morning forum discussions.
It is not all talk either - It is country hospitality with entertainment and drinks before a three course candlelit dinner in historic Galong House. Good food, good wine and good company with after dinner speaker Dr David Headon.

Places can be secured by a deposit of $100.00 per person with payment in full by 17 March 2017. Cancellations received after that date will attract a fee of $100.00.
